Wonderffle Cafe sits on Yates Street in downtown Victoria. There's no marketing budget behind it and never has been — what it has instead is 711 people on Google who left a review, most of them five stars, most of them about the same handful of things: the waffles, the benny builds, the line worth standing in.
We're not a chain and we're not trying to be everywhere. We're open six days a week, we make the sauces and dips in-house, and the best way to know what we're about is still the same way most people find out: someone who already ate here, told them to come.
That word-of-mouth approach means the room stays small on purpose — around ten tables — and weekend mornings get busy. It also means every dish on the menu earned its place by people actually ordering it back, not by a photographer staging it once.
